Borders CloseUps with Cellist Danielle Guideri

CloseUps fans met new violinist Jessica Guideri last fall, and now they can meet her sister, cellist Danielle, who joined the orchestra in 2006. Danielle has a compelling story to tell of growing up in a musical family where lessons started at age five and a normal Saturday activity was going to The Juilliard School to perform in its Pre-College Division as a member of The Guideri Family String Trio. Hear all about it at the first CloseUps of the New Year. She will perform works by Bach and Fauré as well as Max Bruch’s famous Kol Nidrei with pianist Ron Whaley.

Meet Danielle Guideri next Monday, January 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Borders Books & Music located at 2402 East Camelback Rd. in Phoenix. The Phoenix Symphony CloseUps will last approximately an hour, including a fun Q&A session at the event. Best of all, the event is FREE.
