Cultural Kaleidoscope

The Phoenix Symphony couldn't be more pleased to announce its fourth Symphony for the Schools event of the 2009/10 season. Cultures collide as Resident Conductor Lawrence Goland takes Valley students on a muscial voyage around the world! Students will come listen to celebrated works of composers from various cultures at Symphony Hall May 4 and 5.

Program includes:
  • Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra by Benjamin Britten
  • Debussy's Clair de lune
  • Mussorgsky's "Great Gate of Kiev" from Pictures at an Exhibition
We are so excited for Valley students to see our annual Paint, Poetry, and Movement to Music Competition! There's even a contest!

*For local teachers, principals, or even students' parents interested in learning more about Symphony for the Schools, please visit our education department. Be among the first to sign your students up for any of our 2010/11 SFTS events!
