Borders Close-Ups with Associate Principal Double Bass Michael Kazepides

Phoenix Symphony CloseUps invites you to meet Associate Principal Double Bass Michael Kazepides, who has played in the Symphony since 1994. A native of Vancouver and a graduate of the Juilliard School, Kazepides has an interest outside of music one might not expect: hockey. That’s right, this accomplished musician and professor of Double Bass at Mesa and Phoenix Community Colleges also plays goalie for two Valley league hockey teams.

Hear Michael Kazepides talk about music – and maybe even hockey – this Monday, March 10th at 7:00 p.m. at Borders Books & Music located at 2402 East Camelback Rd. in Phoenix. The Phoenix Symphony CloseUps will last approximately an hour, including a fun Q&A session at the event. Best of all, the event is FREE - but seating is limited. Don't be late!
