Holiday Kick Off!

Bring your family and friends to celebrate the holidays with The Phoenix Symphony!

This weekend marks the beginning of the Symphony's Holiday concerts with Resident Conductor Lawrence Golan leading the Symphony and Chorus in Holiday Pops December 4, 5 and 6 with all your favorite Holiday tunes!

December 5 will also feature Family Holiday Pops where you can purchase a Christmas cookie and make your very own jingle bells during the pre-concert activities starting at 1:30 p.m. in the Symphony Hall lobby!

Highlights from Handel's Messiah will be performed at venues throughout the Valley December 9 - 20 in an intimate candlelit style setting, evoking the sprit and mood of the first European performance in 1742. The Phoenix Symphony Baroque Ensemble and the Phoenix Symphony Chorus will bring the impassioned music of the Messiah for these majestic performances. Also featured during these concerts will be Corelli's Concerto Grosso No. 8 in G ("Christmas Concerto.")

On December 31, rounding out the Symphony's Holiday concerts as well as 2009, are two New Year's Eve traditions in Phoenix: the New Year's Eve concert and the New Year's Eve Gala. The concert at Symphony Hall will feature dancing melodies with guest artists Ballet Etudes, and of course, the New Year’s tradition, Auld Lang Syne. Your ticket includes a complimentary glass of champagne!

The Phoenix Symphony's magnificent New Year's Eve Gala is one of the Valley's premier social events. Revel in an evening filled with dancing, dining, unique entertainment in the majestic Grand Ballroom of The Westin Kierland Resort and Spa. The proceeds from the Gala help support the Symphony's Education and Artistic Programs which are dedicated to providing music education and learning opportunities for music lovers of all ages and backgrounds.

There is something for everyone at The Phoenix Symphony during this Holiday season! Which concerts do you plan on attending?
