World Premiere - Phoenix

Last night, the audience at Symphony Hall heard the world premiere of Osvaldo Golijov's Phoenix, a work commissioned in 2008 by The Target Corporation with former CEO Robert Ulrich to celebrate the opening of the Music Instrument Museum in Phoenix as well as the artistic leadership of The Virginia G. Piper Music Director Michael Christie.

Mr. Golijov was in attendance and joined Michael Christie onstage for Intermission Insights where they discussed the music and Mr. Golijov's career.

Where you there? Tell us what you thought!
