Sha Na Na Proves Rock N' Roll is Here to Stay

Resident Conductor Lawrence Golan stopped by SoundPost to talk a little bit about the upcoming Pops concerts he'll be conducting at Symphony Hall:

I'm really looking forward to the upcoming Sha Na Na concert. It is going to be a fun-filled evening of Rock-n-Roll music from the 50's and early 60's. I'm particularly looking forward to playing some of the songs from the film Grease with the band that actually sang them in the movie. For the orchestral first half of the program, we'll be doing some other music from the 50's, including highlights from Guys and Dolls by Lerner & Loewe. Just in case the music itself isn't going to be enough fun, I can't wait to see the members of The Phoenix Symphony dressed up in blue jeans, white t-shirts, poodle skirts, bobby socks and saddle shoes!!

To purchase tickets to The Phoenix Symphony's concert with Sha Na Na, contact the Box Office at 602-495-1999 or purchase online.
